Unlocking a Proposal from Rules
If you utilise the Auto Send or Validation rules, proposals can have the rules deactivated on an individual basis. This is only available to users with Administrator permissions.
Instructions | Screenshot |
To unlock a proposal from the Auto Send or Validation rules, you need access the Support Tools. You can access this from the Go To menu within a proposal, or using the drop-down menu on the Pending & All Deals
From this screen, you can select to turn the Auto Send or Dealer Validation rules on or off for that proposal.
| |
A standard user cannot unlock a proposal, but they can send a request to listed Administrators to do so. To access this, they need to click the Request Unlock option in either the Go To menu or the Drop Down menu on the Pending & All Deals pages.
On this screen, the user needs to select which rules they would like turning off, and add a brief reason why. This comes through as an email notification to the Administrator users, who can then access the proposal in DealTrak to unlock as required.
As a default, using the unlock request does not unlock the deal (the Administrator is required to do it). You can alter this, and which Administrators get the notification through the Unlock Schedule section in the Control Panel.
From here, you can add multiple email addresses (for the recipients) and what they display as on the Unlock Request form. The opening hours allows you to set it so that a user sending an Unlock Request also automatically unlocks the deal. This is used for requests that are out of hours (when Administrators may not be working). You can set these hours as necessary from this screen. |
