Auto Send Rules

Auto Send Rules

The DealTrak system allows you to create a series of rules which govern the order in which lenders are available for a proposal. Utilising this function means that the users will skip the optimiser page, and only be allowed to send a proposal to the lender named in the rule. You can build multiple different rules, based on multiple different criteria.

To create a rule set, you must have Administration permissions, which grants you access to the Control Panel option within DealTrak.

In the Control Panel, select the Auto Send Rules option. This takes you a list of rules that are currently set up in the system. You can either edit existing rules, or create a new one from this screen.

When adding a new rule, you must first name it.

The second step is picking your Conditions.

You can have as many or as few as you require for the rule. The conditions are the factors the rule will check within the proposal (hirer age, vehicle deposit amount etc). You will need to pick an operator (less/more than, equals, does not equal etc) and enter the relevant data.

When setting the conditions, you can change the rule so that it will either ensure all the conditions are met before applying the rule, or so that it checks that the proposal meets at least one of the conditions.

The final step is to add the actions you wish the rule to enforce. This is the order of lenders that will appear on the send screen. Like the conditions, you can have as many actions as you have available lenders. At this point, you can also specify a package that will be available as the default (as opposed to the user being able to pick the package).

In line with the action, is the option to skip the action if the validation fails. Having this selected means that if any validation has failed, then the rule will skip to the next action (or complete the rule if it is the last action).

If you have more than one action, you can reorder them using the number dropdown.

You can remove a condition or action at any point using the delete button in line with the section you wish to remove.

When a rule is in effect, the system will check a proposal against the criteria.

If it matches, it will bring up the first listed lender and so on until either the rule is complete or you have gained an approval from a lender.

You can override this, by using the “When the Rule is Completed Stay in Autosend” check box at the bottom of the screen. This means that a user will not be able to manually choose a different lender after the rule has finished, or an approval has been received.
