Adding a Proposal to DealTrak
To create a new proposal within DealTrak, you will need to click the green “New Deal” button. This is available on the New Proposals, Pending Deals and All Deals tabs.
Instructions | Screenshot |
The first part of the process is the Conditions of Use. This is standard information, and you must agree to move on with the proposal.
Once you have started the proposal process, you must choose whether the deal is for a Private Individual or a Business. Once you have made this choice, you cannot switch to the other option.
You must then choose the type of finance (HP, PCP etc.) and whether it is a sole hirer or a hirer + joint hirer. Both of these options can be changed at any point in the proposal.
If you have the Soft Search function switched on, you will be asked to enter the customer's name, date of birth and address. If the search is successful, the system will show a notification. Due to our licensing agreement, we cannot show a specific score in relation to a customer. If the enquiry is unsuccessful, the system will display an error message. Please contact the Client Services team if this occurs.
If you don’t have the soft search function, you will be required to enter the applicant’s details. You can also switch from a used vehicle to a new (if the client is a non-franchise dealer we default the system to used. This is a simple change to make if required). You can also assign a sales person at this point. As you progress through the proposal, you will notice that some of the fields are highlighted. These fields are required by the system to let you enter the proposal.
The next section is in regards to vehicle details. You can either use a VRM lookup, or switch to enter the details manually and even select to not have a vehicle (e.g. if you were looking for a credit line).
Progressing through the proposal, you will next come to the finance details. First, you will have to enter the vehicle price. You can also add accessories and VAPs at this point.
Next is the deposit details. You can add a part exchange amount, settlement and regular deposit. The system will calculate and show the total deposit for you.
The final part of the finance details is to select the rate and term. This screen also shows an average monthly payment (this is not necessarily the same as the lenders).
Once the finance details are finalised, you will need to finish the applicant details.
The next section is the customer’s residential details. DealTrak requires 3 years of UK address history (the system cannot validate non-UK addresses).
The employment details section is similar to the residential details. You need to have 3 years of UK employment history. You also need to ensure you select the employment status, sector and occupation (you must choose an occupation from the available list).
The final section of entering the proposal is the bank account details. If you do not have these from the customers, you will need to leave the fields blank. Once you have completed the proposal, the system will take you to the Proposal Summary screen. |
