Sending a Proposal to a Lender
Once you have completed entering the customer data, the next step is to send the proposal to a lender.
Instructions | Screenshot |
Once you have confirmed the details entered on the proposal summary screen, you will need to click the green Next button in the top right-hand corner.
This takes you through to the optimiser page. This shows you all of the lenders and packages available for the proposal you’ve entered (if it’s an HP deal it will show the relevant packages, if it’s a PCP it will show different ones). This screen shows the finance figures, including any commissions (based on the rates & terms within the system).
The optimiser screen shows if a proposal is valid to send to each of your panel. If both the Prop Valid and Figs Valid column have green tick icons, there are no issues and you can send to the lender. If either column has a yellow warning triangle, this is to give a “heads up”. You can click the icon to see the issue. This will not stop you from sending to a lender. If there is a red cross icon, then some part of the proposal is causing it to fail the validation. You can click the icon to see what is incorrect and rectify as required. To select a lender you will need to click the green button in the Action column.
Adding a lender takes you straight to the send screen. From here, you need to click the Send button. Once a proposal has been sent, the Lender Status will change (to Referred, Approved etc.) and a lender reference number should populate in the Lender Reference column.
To get a decision, you need to be on the send screen for the relevant proposal. Once a proposal has been sent successfully, you will be able to click either View or Get Latest Decision. This will open a new frame and show you the latest response and information received from the lender. If the lender sends documents back into DealTrak, you will be able to click the link in the Docs column. This will open up the received document, or present you with a list of available documents (depending on the lender). |
